ERP solution….  We recently assisted a large regional wholesale distributor with the selection and implementation of an ERP solution.  The company has over 100 locations including 3 distribution centers.  The ERP solution addressed the needs of the distribution centers and for corporate accounting.  Branch operations were manual therefore branch inventories were not visible.  Management reports of operations were not timely and much of the detail information needed to manage the company was not available.  With substantial participation from in-house IT and Operations staff, the system was implemented on-time and on budget.

Financial systems solution…. We assisted a diversified media company with the selection and implementation of Oracle Financials for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and fixed assets.  In addition, we assisted in the implementation of Hyperion Pillar and Essbase for budgeting and reporting.  Again, with significant participation by in-house staff, the project was successfully completed on-time and within budget.

Business consolidation…. Assisted executive and divisional management of an international apparel manufacturer in the consolidation of two major business units.  The combined sales of the two units were approximately one billion dollars.  Working with the executive management team and the internal project director we developed the detail project plan and implemented the processes for monitoring and controlling plan activities.  We also developed the project status reports for both executive management and division management. Divisional IT consolidation…. We conducted a cost consolidation study for several operating divisions of a $30 billion dollar Fortune 500 personal products and food products company.  The goal was to consolidate the IT departments of several related divisions using multiple and various technologies and platforms into a single IT Service Center.  Substantial savings were identified and the project to execute the consolidation is well underway.

Cycle time reduction…. helped a manufacturer of blankets and throws reduce manufacturing cycle times, implement quality improvements and implement productivity improvements.  The company was experiencing significant problems in meeting customer delivery requirements and in controlling inventories due to a number of manufacturing and planning problems.  Working with a representative team of managers and staff members from planning and manufacturing departments, we identified the opportunities to improve operations and product delivery.  We used principles from our own BPR Methodology, Theory of Constraints (TOC), Just-in-Time and Quality Management to develop solutions to the manufacturing problems.
