Implementation Methodology

We use proven methodologies.  Our experienced consultants have used and refined project management tools and methodologies for many years.  Our experience in using and applying methodologies provides management and staff members with a road map and information to both understand and control large, complex initiatives.  Equally important is the expertise and knowledge to know when to use a less complex version of the methodology where it is applicable.  We are experienced at incorporating the software specific tasks from the software vendor's methodology into the total project plan.

Redesigning processes in conjunction with system implementation optimizes payback.  Our methodologies include process redesign because we understand that companies must have state of the art systems and processes to compete effectively.  We have been successful in including the desired level of process redesign effort into our clients' systems projects.  Although some software vendor's include process re-engineering as a task in their methodologies it is not treated in depth and it is usually the responsibility of the company to manage this part of the project.  We maintain a database of business "best practices" that are learned from a wide cross section of  industries which serve as resource for project team members to consider when defining their own business practices.

We use cross-functional teams which include key members from functional departments.  Key members take leadership roles in their area of functional responsibility.  We conduct facilitated work sessions where the team provides input regarding functional requirements, raises and resolves business issues and defines the future business processes. 

We will help your key staff to become more effective.  Not only will your staff have improved processes supported by improved systems, their skill set will be enhanced.  We train key personnel in the use of project management tools and methodologies so that they can continue to use them in subsequent projects.
